Local Moving in Denver & the Front Range | Last Mile Moving

By-the-hour moves across Denver and the Front Range, on Last Mile Moving's own trucks with our own W-2 movers

Reid Calloway grew up in Park Hill, and before he ever loaded a couch he spent his days threading courier and same-day delivery vans through every neighborhood between Central Park and Golden. That history shaped the company he started in 2016. The name says it plainly: whatever the mileage, the part that decides whether a move goes smoothly is the final stretch, where a piece comes off the truck, turns the doorway, and settles onto its mark without a scratch. Most of our weeks are built from quick metro hops. A studio near Union Station that becomes a first house in Centennial. A Capitol Hill walk-up swapped for breathing room in Arvada. A Highlands bungalow handed over for a place across town in Wash Park. Trucks and movers alike belong to us, payroll W-2, so the hands lifting your dresser at the curb are the same hands easing it into the bedroom across town.

Pricing here is by the hour and stated plainly. Two movers run $129/hr, three run $169/hr, and four run $219/hr. Each figure already covers the truck, the blankets, the dollies, and the wrap. You will not find fuel itemized somewhere down the page, and no surprise gear charge shows up when we tally things. The written estimate reaches you before we ever leave the yard, which means the only thing waiting at your door is the crew.

What sets a Denver move apart is the day itself. We map the schedule backward from your elevator hold or your stretch of curb, then build in slack for the things this city likes to throw at a crew. From roughly Thanksgiving into April that is ice underfoot and snow on the loading lane, so we salt the walk, drop grip mats on the slick spots, and keep wrapped pieces clear of slush. A tower along Speer or a converted loft in LoDo means a freight cab and a dock slot reserved well ahead. We sort awkward access before the day starts, because a fussy entry eats far more clock than the I-25 or I-70 drive ever does, and time you are not billed for is time that keeps your total honest.

★★★★

“Booked them for a condo on the 14th floor in LoDo and they handled the freight elevator reservation and the dock window without me having to chase the building. Knocked off a star because the crew showed up about 40 minutes late, but they called ahead to warn me and still wrapped everything up well inside the flat quote. No surprise charges, which is rare.”

“Two-bed apartment near Wash Park, up a narrow stairwell, and these guys were quick about it. Friendly, careful with the doorframes, done before noon. Would use again.”

Service FAQ

When does the hourly meter start and stop?

Timing kicks off the second our movers reach your door and ends once that last item is parked where you want it. Because the truck and every standard tool are already baked into the $129/hr two-mover rate, blankets, dollies, and fuel never reappear as add-ons.

Is driving across the metro charged on its own?

There is one flat travel fee, common across the trade, that covers sending the truck out and getting it home. It shows up clearly on your estimate, nothing hidden, and the leg between your two addresses simply runs against the clock.

How quickly can you schedule me?

A typical week leaves room to reach your job within a few days, and lighter loads often slot in the same week. Send your details through the quote form and you will get a clear read on availability, returned inside one business hour.

Can you handle a downtown loft with a freight elevator and a reserved dock?

Constantly. We arrange the freight-cab hold and the dock window with building management before the date, file whatever certificate of insurance the property asks for, and stage the truck for the loading bay. Share the building rules when you book and the path in is settled in advance, so nothing on the meter goes to sorting access on arrival.

What if it snows the day I move?

Denver weather does not put us on hold. We clear and salt the loading route, lay grip mats across icy steps and pavement, and shield every wrapped piece from the wet so nothing ships out soaked. If a true whiteout or a shut I-70 makes driving unsafe, we shift your date rather than risk the crew or your belongings.
